February 24, 2026 — In a stunning display of resilience and artistry, DC Fashion Week (DCFW) successfully concluded its 44th season on Sunday, February 22, 2026, with the highly anticipated International Couture Collections Showcase. Held at the National Housing Center, the event served as the crowning jewel of the week, bringing together a global roster of designers despite a late-winter snowstorm that gripped the nation’s capital.
Under the theme “Snow, Style, and Global Couture,” the evening featured an elite assembly of talent from the United States, Ethiopia, Turkey, and Georgia. Executive Director and Founder Ean Williams once again curated a program that bridged the gap between traditional craftsmanship and contemporary luxury.
A Night of International Mastery
The runway opened with a sleek, editorial sequence featuring models in a unified black-and-white palette, before transitioning into the vibrant, diverse collections of the night:
- Corjor International (USA): Ean Williams debuted a collection characterized by architectural precision and high-glamour silhouettes, reaffirming the brand’s dominance in the D.C. couture scene.
- The Ethiopian Collective: Designers Fert, HR Fashion, and Rahela captivated the audience with rich textiles and intricate hand-embroidery, highlighting the growing influence of East African luxury in the West.
- Melike Firat (Turkey): Firat’s collection offered a sophisticated blend of Anatolian heritage and modern avant-garde aesthetics.
- Teona Margvelashvili (Georgia): This collection brought an ethereal, sculptural quality to the runway, utilizing delicate fabrics to create bold, voluminous shapes.
- Emerging American Voices: Designers Phoebe Abraham, RzlnT, and Style. Home. Art. showcased the breadth of domestic talent, ranging from edgy streetwear-inspired couture to classic evening wear.
Beyond the Runway
Hosted by the charismatic Guy Lambert, the event began with an exclusive VIP reception in the District Social Lounge. The atmosphere was a testament to the District’s evolving identity as a fashion capital, attracting an audience of diplomats, international press, and fashion industry stakeholders.
“Fashion is a universal language that transcends borders and weather,” said Ean Williams. “The 44th season demonstrated that the appetite for international couture in Washington, D.C. is stronger than ever. We are proud to provide a platform where global designers can meet the American market.”
