The Argentine Festival USA will celebrate its 39th edition on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at the Kenmore Community Theatre in Arlington, Virginia, reaffirming its place as one of the longest-running and most representative Argentine cultural events in the United States.
The 2026 edition is part of the Festival’s Road to 40 Years, honoring a cultural legacy that began in the 1980s and continues to grow as a living bridge between Argentina, the United States, and the international community.
HISTORICAL CONTEXT / ROAD TO 40
This edition marks the Road to the 40th Anniversary of the Argentine Committee in the United States, an organization founded in 1986 whose work gave rise to the Argentine Festival USA. For nearly four decades, the Festival has promoted Argentine culture as a community and cultural bridge in the Washington, D.C. region.
Over time, the Festival has evolved into a platform for cultural diplomacy, strengthening people-to-people ties and fostering dialogue through music, arts, education, and shared traditions.
WHAT IS THE ARGENTINE FESTIVAL USA?
The Argentine Festival USA is an open and inclusive cultural event that brings together music, dance, gastronomy, entrepreneurs, families, and communities. It celebrates Argentine identity in dialogue with the United States and Latin America.
More than an annual celebration, the Festival is a community-driven cultural initiative that promotes education, entrepreneurship, and cultural exchange through the arts.

The Festival features live music, traditional dance, tango and chamamé, Argentine gastronomy, family activities, and community soccer, alongside the Expo & Exhibidor Fest, highlighting entrepreneurship, small businesses, and cultural initiatives from Argentina, the United States, and Latin America.
ARTISTIC PROGRAM 2026 – MUSIC, DANCE & TANGO
The 2026 edition presents a diverse and representative artistic program, bringing together established artists, emerging talents, and community-based expressions that reflect Argentina’s cultural richness and its dialogue with the United States.
MUSIC – ARTISTS TRAVELING FROM ARGENTINA
From different regions of the country, the Festival will feature:
• Javier Colli (Santa Fe) – A Litoral-inspired proposal blending chamamé, fusion, identity, and live emotion.
• Fabricio Rodríguez (Córdoba) – Harmonica virtuoso and singer-songwriter; a leading figure in folk fusion and major festivals such as Cosquín, Jesús María, and Villa María.
• Emilio Morales (Catamarca) – Prominent Argentine folklore voice, featured at Cosquín and invited to the main stage by El Chaqueño Palavecino.
• Simón Morales (Corrientes) – A 14-year-old chamamé singer and musician, representing the new generation of Litoral folk music.
• Los Musiqueros Entrerrianos (Entre Ríos) – Renowned representatives of Litoral folklore (participation to be confirmed).
REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL MUSIC
The lineup is completed by artists reflecting the Festival’s regional and international reach:
• Marcos Pereyra (Entre Ríos) – Singer and guitarist presenting his Yo Soy tour with new material.
• Salvatore – International multilingual showman, recognized as the first Bolivian finalist of the OTI Festival.
DANCE & TANGO
Dance plays a central role in the program, combining tradition, education, and community:
• Adriana Argentino – Sol Cuyano Ballet School – Traditional Argentine folk dances filled with identity, emotion, and cultural pride.
• Gabriel Gaumond & Catrinel Iftode – Directors of the DC Tango Club, integrating performance, instruction, and community practice.
• Marina Bellani & Jonathan Fernandes – Active members of Washington, D.C.’s tango community, presenting tango milonguero with strong porteño essence.
• Grupo Renacer USA – Promoting Argentine folk dances such as malambo, chacarera, zamba, and gato since 2018.
HOST
• Gabriela Vélez (TBC) will serve as the bilingual Master of Ceremonies for the Argentine Festival USA.

SOCIAL & COMMUNITY IMPACT
A portion of the proceeds will benefit Primary School No. 1 Pascuala Mugaburu in Mar del Plata, Argentina, as part of the Festival’s ongoing community and educational commitment.
INSTITUTIONAL SUPPORT & RECOGNITION
The Argentine Festival USA receives institutional support from the Embassy of the Argentine Republic, an Official Proclamation from Arlington County, and support from Arlington Arts.
Recognitions include the Presidential Volunteer Service Award – Gold Level and a Declaration of Cultural Interest by the Secretariat of Culture of the Argentine Republic. The Festival’s continuity and impact are sustained through long-term volunteer leadership, community partnerships, and institutional collaboration.
